While lifting our voices in praise and song, the sound and lighting system flickered off and on for about 5 minutes before the entire building lost power. Everyone was calm, even the children. Everyone was gathered into the worship for those who were not attending the service and that were present.
Going against long stand Baptist ways, most everyone moved close to the front in order to hear Pastor Don. Before beginning his sermon, he stated this was the first time in decades he preached without a suite coat.
The two motors from two different chiller air handlers fails days before. Needless to say that the temperature was raising in the place. In typically form, Brother Don's sermon hit me directly. The Holy Spirit pressed on me again. Little did we know what was happening outside.
Whenthe service was over everyone said goodbye and left. As we walked out into the outside we could smell the rain and freshness in the air. We noticed the several trees that had blow over or broken off and now laying on the ground. We gather the children into the car and traveled back home. Quickly we all realized that the back yard looked different.
Two of our tree have fallen on the addition on the back on the house. It looked pretty bad. My brother in law arrived to pickup his children and quickly knew I needed his help. After surveying the damage, we quickly came up with a plan of action.
We need a chainsaw, considering we both had borrowed the same chainsaw during last winters ice storm, the time was now to purchase a couple for ourselves. During the cleanup I managed to capture it through Microsoft picture story.
