Well, decided to go ahead and do the first picking of peas. After shucking for 40 minutes, we got about 32oz of peas. I'm drying them out now.
We picked several bunches of lettuce and spinach and one green squash.
The pig will be happy from on the shells and stems.
Earlier in the week, I planted the remaining watermelon and okra. I hoped to also get the purple hull peas in the ground, but was able to before the mid-week rain. Maybe this weekend sometime.
After work tonight, I went and bought another John Deere garden tractor for tilling. The other one will be for mowing.
Well we have been busy working the garden and mowing.
The 50'x50' plot has been worked for about a year and we finally planted several item's. Corn, radishes, asparagus, spinach, tomatoes, onions, cabbage, squash, carrots and watermelon have all been planted. We also planted several various of grapes. I think half of them have died.
Our John Deer 210 garden mower has been running like a champ. Amazing, it cuts the bulk of the 5 acres very well.
I have so many problems adapting to "vacation" mode. Having worked months straight without any time off for more that 3 days, try to understand how to be a full time father and husband is hard! Decompressing the stresses of project schedules and project statuses is impossible within 2 days let alone 1. I think I should be in a state of vacation the middle of next week just before Christmas.

The boys and me are going fishing today. Like to have headed out first thing this morning; but I wanted to get the truck running again.
We've completed our move and we are setting in nicely. The wife, myself and children are still so excited where we are living. We have big plans and continuing to development strategies to implement each one of the projects.
The family continues to visit the local churches. Our oldest son just can back from camp. He was so high and crashed as soon as he arrived home.
